1989 Chevrolet Camaro I-ROC 5.7L

For those coming of driving age in the '80s and early '90s, the Camaro was the car to have. And although the IROC Camaro was special, this particular car is even more so. As most IROCs were equipped with the Chevrolet 305ci V8, this car is one of a small number of IROC-Zs equipped from the factory with the Corvette 5.7L V8 and trimmed in genuine leather seats. This is indeed a rare Z-28.

With tons of power (in relative 1980s terms), the 5.7L 350ci engines were a huge performance upgrade over the more common 305ci V8's. The 5.7L engines provided the Camaro with almost 50 more foot pounds of torque than it's competition the Mustang 5.0L. With very 80's styling the Camaro is still very sought after, evoking images of high school or college, Poison and Paula Abdul blaring over the radio, and the wall coming down in Berlin. 1989 was a year to remember and all the memories come flying back when sitting in this amazing car.
